Haunting seal song, rasping corncrakes and wonderful island scenery

A really excellent trip (so good we booked for 2026 just two days after we returned home!).
The crew were welcoming and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions about the scenery, the wildlife, the islands, the boat (the bridge is 'open' at most times). A most enjoyable week in like-minded company - every other passenger/client contributed too, especially the wildlife guide and cameraman, James. Skipper Tony navigated a brilliant route, often visiting islands 'off the beaten tourist trail'. We often anchored in remote sheltered sandy bays, on one memorable occasion waking to the sound of seals singing close by. We landed on several islands. For me, a highlight was walking over one of the Shiants and picking up sea eagle feathers. Treasured mementos. We saw sea eagles virtually every day - and I heard (and saw!) more corncrakes than I have ever heard before, often near ruins of abandoned crofts.

It was an excellent trip - and I haven't even mentioned the food! Despite resolving beforehand not to eat puddings, I was happily persuaded otherwise by Steve (the chef) - and loved them all!

Thank you to all the crew - we look forward to seeing you again next year.

A wonderful experience!

Enjoyed a wonderful cruise to The Outer Hebrides (my first time) and stepped foot on some beautiful islands - Mingulay, Pabbay, Sandray, Barra, Shiants & Raasay. Spotted lots of wildlife including dolphins, minke whale, seals, and a vast array of birds. We were well looked-after and catered for by a great crew - Tony (Skipper), Steve (Chef), Colin (Steward/Deck Hand), James (Wildlife Guide), and owner David. It was a pleasure sailing onboard the Hjalmar Bjorge and sharing a wonderful week of adventure with fellow passengers and crew. Thank you Hebridean Adventures!

Hebridean Adventures never disappoints!!!!

This is the second time we had been on a Hebridean Adventure wildlife tour. I find the whole experience totally unique as a holiday. From the moment we got up until when we went to bed we were spotting wildlife. We wouldn’t have seen such frequent sightings of Wildlife if we hadn’t have had Billy, James and Mysini helping us spot and identify species and keeping us in good humour. Skipper Tony was amazing at finding superb routes for us and Chef Steve keeping us so well fed.

We will definitely be back!!!

Loved everything and the swimming in remote places was amazing!

Excellent trip on the Hjalmar Bjorge

BRILLIANT.

We saw four different cetaceans. Some for numerous times during the trip.

I was seasick at times for the first two days ,but i did not take any medications for this. This could have been a mistake. Next time I will concentrate on the birdlife.

Best holiday ever (and I've had a few in my time)

My second time cruising on the Hjalmar Bjorge and it was everything I wished for.
Wildlife sightings, Skip Tony, Chef Steve, expert guides Billy and James, and other guests who have you in stitches .. what’s not to love?

A magical experience

We loved this experience - to be at sea, to visit small islands, to see a variety of wildlife and enjoy some fantastic weather.

Being able to go ashore, walk around and then overnight in Village Bay at St Kilda and seeing the puffins on Lunga were the highlights of the trip.

The crew were great and always helpful. The food and service were amazing.
