We are delighted to share the news that we have signed up as an official charity partner of the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT), taking our commitment of working closely together to a new level.

As many of you who have cruised with us will know, we record every trip out to sea in the HWDT's Whale Track app - noting the details of all our cetacean sightings and trying to capture photographs as well when possible. This data from us and all the other citizen scientists out there recoding their sightings is used to help monitor and check on levels of cetacean activity, species seen and all other sorts of important and useful data for the HWDT scientists and researchers to use, as well as being shared with others also.

Fundraising Cruises

We wanted to do more though and so for 2021 we scheduled a special HWDT fundraising cruise for July which sold out within weeks and so now are now already taking bookings for a similar 4-night cruise scheduled for July 2022! - please check our website or get in touch with us via the link above if you are interested!

We will be donating 15% of the total proceeds from each annual cruise to the HWDT to help fund their vital and important conservation and scientific work in our region.

1 Year HWDT Membership

But that's not all! We also will be gifting a 1 year membership of the HWDT to all our guests on our other standard cruises this year who opt in to receive it.

If they should choose not to receive it (perhaps they are already a member for example) we will still donate the equivalent amount to HWDT anyway.

So join us on-board the MV Monadhliath from this season onwards and you will learn much more about the brilliant work being carried out by HDWT, but we will also get you involved in the data recording during your cruise and if you are a keen photographer you can help us with capturing images of the whales and dolphins we see as well.
