A BIT ABOUT US AND THE TEAM

Wildlife & Activity Cruises around the Outer Hebrides

Based in Stornoway on Scotland's beautiful Isle of Lewis, Hebridean Adventures offer whale, dolphin and wildlife watching boat day trips and exciting island cruises for all, from keen wildlife enthusiasts to family groups. You can even charter our whole boat if you have a group or need a mothership-style operation for filming or research perhaps (see the Our Boat page for details).

As experts in marine and land-based ecology, Hebridean Adventures have created a selection of enjoyable wildlife, scenic and activity cruises of 2 to 6 nights, perfect for a quick getaway or a longer holiday in Scotland's Highlands and Islands, to ensure that your holiday is one to remember. Stornoway is very accessible by CalMac ferry from Ullapool (or by plane) so there is even no need to bring your car - just come as a foot passenger and walk the 5-10 minutes to our booking office in Stornoway from the terminal where we will meet you. We also operate some Scottish cruises from Mallaig and Ullapool on the mainland during the season making it even easier to reach us.

We are the only wildlife watching, live-aboard vessel based in Stornoway and the rich waters of the North Minch, one of Europe's recognised hotspots and home in season to porpoises, whales, dolphins, seals, eagles and seabirds galore (incl. puffins, shags, razorbills, guillemots, gannets, kittiwakes and more.)

We are committed to providing amazing Scottish island cruises and responsible wildlife encounters and as such we are proud to be a Wildlife Safe (WiSE) accredited operator.

All our whale and dolphin sightings are collected and submitted digitally via the Whale Track app to the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT). We also work with global cetacean conservation and research organisations such as Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) and the Sea Watch Foundation.
