Skipper

Former lifeboatman and harbour master in Stornoway, now our skipper for the last several seasons aboard MV Monadhliath. Tony is our sage of the high seas and he has some good tales to tell of his time at sea. Born and raised on the Isle of Lewis, he still runs a traditional croft with his wife.

Chef

It's a welcome return this season for Steve who has worked many seasons aboard the Hjalmar Bjørge, and delighted guests with his food and bonhomie. He loves to travel outside the season and has plenty of good inspirations from his adventures to share with you.

Wildlife Guide

Peter has spent the last few years as a whale and dolphin guide working on the west coast of Scotland and on cruise ships across the world. As well as having a sharp eye for cetacean spotting he is a keen birder, spending some of his time working as a bird surveyor. He has traveled the world in search of wildlife and loves chatting about all things nature.

Wildlife Guide

Fresh back from guiding another winter on Antarctic cruises, Jess will be back to share her knowledge of cetaceans and other local wildlife with you this season. She has already guided on our previous small ship the Monadhliath from Stornoway, and now looks forward to joining the Hjalmar Bjørge crew on some of our cruises this season.

Owner

A career ecologist, having worked for Forestry and Land Scotland and the RSPB, David now runs a successful ecological consulting company based in the Highlands, as well as owning and managing Hebridean Adventures and our sister company SKYEFARI. There is not much of the Highlands and Islands he has not visited and so has extensive knowledge of the best locations to see Scotland's iconic wildlife species. David often lends a hand with guiding on-board or driving our minibus on land tours.

Customer Coordinator

Linda is the lynchpin between our customers and our crew. She is the voice you will hear on the phone, or the one who will reply to your emails and messages. She makes sure your details get passed along to the crew in good time to make sure they are ready for you when you arrive.

Business Development & Marketing

Paul has a long and varied business career across Management Consulting, International Banking, IT, Angling and Media that included an 8-year stint in San Diego, CA. He handles all the main business to business relationships and is always looking for new partnerships, suppliers and opportunities to further the business's growth and brand exposure, while increasing sustainability & responsibility across the board. He is also a freelance outdoor writer and photographer and so enjoys getting on board to capture new images for the website and social media whenever possible.
